workstation can't join domain

Error message:
The system cannot log you on to this domain because the
system's machine account in its primary domain is missing
or the password on that account is incorrect.

We are running Windows 2000 server in mixed mode. The
Win2k domain controller is basically a PDC emulator.
There are several BDC's on the domain running Windows NT.

This is the only workstation that continues to give this
error message. I unjoined the domain, joined a workgroup,
deleted the computer account off the domain, and rejoined
the domain. It will let me rejoin the domain but then
after restarting and trying to log in it will give me the
same error.
