Worksheet/Cell Protection

Is it possible to protect a single cell within a worksheet but still
have the capability to hide rows and columns. I have protected a
single cell but now I can not hide rows.

Any comments would be helpful.

Cannot be done in versions earlier than Excel 2002 unless code is used.
