I had Windows ME and the version of excel that came with
that had the workbook function and I loved it. But I
bought a new computer that has XP and microsoft works 6.0
and I can't find a workbook function.

Windows ME, nor any other Windows System, does not come with Excel. You had
Excel because someone(retailer?) installed it as an extra program.

If you have the disks from your original setup, you might find Excel or MS
Office suite disk as part of the package. You can remove from the old
computer and re-install on new one.

As Nick points out......there is no WORKBOOK Function with Excel. Perhaps you
could re-think and come up with another name for the Function you need.

Previously posted in .worksheets functions:

Unless Works changed anything the last 8 years <g> then a Works spreadsheet
is a single
flatfile sheet, like Excel 4 and below. So Workbook, as in Collection of
Worksheets in a
single Workbook unit/file, is Excel 5 and up.
