working with pics

I am trying to put a grid over a pic ( Jpeg )
I have tried MS works and word - MS photo editor and MGI
photosuite 4 but I cant find a way to do it

can anyone help please

Are your trying to _draw_ a grid over a jpg or overlay two jpgs?

It's just about possible to draw a grid Word but it's painful... Insert
picture from file. Select the line drawing tool and a drawing canvas apears
(next to the picture). Draw one line of the grid then set the formatting for
the Drawing Canvas so that it's "in front of text". Then you can move the
drawing canvas over the top of the picture.

Try TotalCAD 2D from IMSI (I have an old version and you need to convert the
jpg to a bmp first then import it into a drawing blank. Then you have all
the usuall CAD tools to draw with (eg draw lines with "snap to grid"
enabled).
