Working with Hours 97

I am working with a couple fields where I have a start date and would like to
add hours to that start date/time. I tried the short time format of
Date/Time field but it will not take anything over 24:00 hours. Anything
less works great. So then I tried adding a field with number of days and
multiplying that by 24 to get hours. Now I can not get this field to format
to hours correctly. Can I take a whole number and format it to hours? The
only way I can get this addition to work is by using 1.25 to get 1 day and 6
hours. This is great but gets messy when using certain hours. EX. 1 day and
4 hrs = 1.6666666667 days. Any info would be great.
