Working with .DBF files in Access?

M

mike

How can I open them in MS Access? Is there a 3rd party program that I need?

Anyone know which DSN driver I would need to install on the computer to make
a web based connection using ASP to the .DBF?

Thanks!

To summary the above:

If you are using a97, then you can open the files and import, or even link
to the file. You can even update the file.

In a2000, you need have installed jetsp5 or later to update. You can link
and import with pre jetsp5, but you need sp5 or later to update with jet4 in
a2000.

In addition, you can always use the Borland data engine BDE, and connect to
a dbase file. With the BDE you get read/write ability regardless of what
version of JET in a2000. I think installing jetsp6 is the way to go.

For FoxPro files in a2000, you need to use the ODBC driver for FoxPro which
can read/write those files.

For the latest ODBC driver for FoxPro and Visual FoxPro:
