Workgroups with 2000 and XP

I have a home network, DSL modem, netgear wireless access point/router and 3
WinXP machines. I also want to attach my work laptop which runs Win2000Pro.
I can connect and get internet ok, the problem is that I cannot seem to
share any resources on the network...drive with divx movies, drive with
mp3s, and printers are all not visible to my Win2000 laptop when attached.
How can I change this so I can print and read the shared drives?

Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup, File- and printersharing
is loaded and that all useraccounts exist on all computers.

Thanks Marina,

Sharing is on on all the machines, I'm not sure how to make sure all the
machines are on the same workgroup. I think that is my problem, I don't
know how to "establish" a work group. I'm sure it is a menu some where I've
never seen...

So, how do I establish a workgroup?

How do I assign computers/users to the workgroup?

Can a single user (me for instance, on my laptop from work) be a member of
more then one workgroup?

Thanks for your help on this.

Ok, I found the setting for workgroup under System/network tab.

Now if I change my laptop from it's current work domain to the workgroup at
home will I loose anything or can I just change it back when I get back to
the office?

Don't change your laptop because you won't be able to get it back in the
officedomain without the help of your system administrator.
Change all the other computers, but don't change anything on your
office-laptop.

You can't have a domain at home when you don't have a server, so it has to
be a workgroup.
On the home-computers rightclick on my computer, properties, tab Network
identification. Check the workgroup and fill in the name exactly as the name
being used on your officemachine.
After that, you'll need to reboot the machines.
