Workgroups and XP

I have an Access 97 database that uses the workgroup
facility to control access to the various tables. The
front end of the db is resident on each users computer
desktop with the back end on a server. Until recently
this ran on NT4 without problems. We have now been
updated to XP Pro but apparently our computers can't join
the workgroup useing the join utility. I have managed to
open the db useing a shortcut with the MDW file in the
path.

Has anone else had this problem and can you offer a
solution?

Why not? Do you get an error message? Why do you want to join them to it
by default? That would use the secure mdw for all their Access sessions,
not just your database.

I consider that a better solution anyway.
