Im trying to share a printer in a workgroup. When it searches for network
printers it doesnt come up with anything. The printer is "shared" and both
computers are in the same workgroup. Both systems are running Windows XP
Pro. service pack 2. Ive done this many times before but somethings not
working correctly this time it seems. Any suggestions?

Instead of searching for printers, type the printer path in manually:
\\server\printer

If that fails, type the other computer's name in the Start | Run box:
\\server . That should show the computer's shared disks and printers.
If it doesn't, check firewall and NetBIOS over TCP/IP settings.
