I have 4 computers, 3 running XP Pro, 1 XP Home, My XP Pro
computer is the "server," and the XP Home computer is the
main one I need to link to. We are connected through a
hub, and we are all able to access the internet through
the hub so the network is working fine. I can see all
computers, they can see me. I cannot access any of them, I
always get the "you may not have permission, contact the
administrator" error. All firewalls are disabled, simple
file sharing is on. The only thing different is now when I
start my computer in the morning it comes up wanting a
password, which I have none, if I click ok every comes up
fine (blank password) I don't know if that has anything to
do with it or not. I have tried everything I have read on
here and many other sites, I even tried making a completly
new workgroup with just mine and the XP Home computer on
it but it still got no results. Any imput would be greatly
appreciated.

don't use blank password and create the same logon id and password for
sharing.

Robert,
How exactly do I do that? Thanks for the reply

Start>Settings>Control Panel>Users and Passwords on Win2K
(User Management or whatever it's called on XP)
Unfortunately that didn't work, is there anything else I
can try?
