Workdays Function

How can I create a formula that will look at a date, such as today's date,
count the number of workdays from the 1st of the month, and return a date
that is the same number of workdays from the 1st of the previous month?
Thanks in advance for your help.
 
=WORKDAY(DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1)-1,1),NETWORKDAYS(DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1),1)
