workdays difference

i hv two different dates, start and end, in different columns.
i like to count no of days between them, but excluding weekends (sat, sun)
or public holiday.
any suggestion?

Try the "networkdays" function. It uses a start date, end date and can also
use a range of dates denoting holidays so you can exclude those days as
well.

Use the NETWORKDAYS function. It "returns the number of whole working days
between start_date and end_date. Working days exclude weekends and any dates
identified in holidays". You must have Analysis ToolPak installed to use
this function ; check via Tools -- Add-Ins.
