workbook template

Dear all

In Office 2000, how do I create the book.xlt template?? I
want all the cells on my worksheet formatted in a certain
way by default but cannot find the book.xlt template.

Louise,

Just open a new workbook, format as required, and then save it as a template
called Book.

Make the changes you want to a new workbook, then Save As - Template.

I've tried this but when I click onto the New icon, it
stil reverts back to the original one.

Any more ideas??

Save the book.xlt in your XLStart directory, replacing the one already there
with that name, if necessary.
