In excel 2003, tool->protect->protect workbook, does anybody know what
encrypt way does it take?
Could someonet tell me detail information...

If i take Tool -> protect -> protect workbook, is the whole excel file(every
byte) encrypted?

This does not encrypt anything. It only restricts the user from moving,
deleting, hiding, unhiding, adding or deleting worksheets.
