Click on the button on the right hand top of the book next to the X to
maximise the window and save.
Reopen the book.
At any time when you have the minimised version you can also drag the
borders to enlarge the window.
Lift the whole window up by dragging the top title bar first and then drag
the bottom border down.

Sorry Bill, this isn't the problem. It is as if I have compared 2 files on
same window, then one is closed but the one still open only occupies the same
space (half the open window)
