Work Sheet Question

Hi,

Someone sent me a copy of an excel file. It has only three
sheets. I need to add more sheets to that file, but it
won't allow me. The tabs where the name of the sheet is
and where when you left click it gives you the list of
things you can do such is rename, insert sheet, delete
sheet etc....they are all shaded...any ideas?

maybe the workbook is protected. You may check this going to 'Tools -
Protection'

The workbook is protected.

You can try to remove protection using:

Tools > Protection > Unprotect Workbook

If a password is required, ask the person who sent it for the
password.

Hi,
It is me again. I am not sure who initiated the file...it
has been sent from one person to another in the office...so
it is basically impossible to track the person down who
might have protected the sheet.

I tried to open another excel file and tried to copy and
paste these sheets into that other file. The only problem
is that i have regular formulas, and array formulas and the
formulas don't get copied over and also i have groupes
certain rows and columns and they grouping does not get
copied over either.
