work sheet names

Is there a way to make the tab with the worksheet names different colors? Most of my workbooks have many sheets, having each one a different color would make picking the correct one much easier.

if you have Excel 2002+ just right click on the tab name and choose
'color'.

Prior versions: no chance
 
Only in XL2002 and above.

That's depending of your version of Excel.
In Excel97 it isn't available. In XL XP : right click on the tab and select
Tab color...

I'm not sure but I think that available from XL2002 onwards.
