Work Offline after Server Reboot

Hey all,

We are facing some troubles with our Exchange Server 2003. So we need to
reboot during day time.
This means that all our Outlook 20003 client receive a msg stating that he
losses connection with the Exchange server. For some users Outlook goes even
in WORK Offline.

Now my question(s):
Can we prevent the ballon msg from a GPO or a rededit?
Can we FORCE to try going online with next logon? (Some people don't see
they are working OFFLINE)

Thx
Marc

How often are you having to reboot? You should tell everyone to close
Outlook before you do this anyway....and if you're frequently rebooting
during business hours, time to figure out what's wrong with your server and
fix it (at night or over a weekend) - this shouldn't be a normal course of
events for you.

We know this this is happening once per week.
We are bussy on it...BUT in the meanwhile....my question is not
answerd....;-)

I think the behavior sounds perfectly normal, frankly. You really cannot
expect to shut down your Exchange server while people have mailboxes open on
it without some problems. If you wish, disable cached mode in OL2003 - but
then they'll just see Outlook freeze and act funny.
