WordPerfect 5.1 DOS suddenly won't open anymore

Whether I double-click on the desktop shortcut or the wp.exe file in
Explorer, I get this same error message in a box titled "16-bit MS-DOS
Subsystem":

C:\DOCUME~1\GLORIA~1\Desktop\WP51_~.PIF
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT
The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications.

I don't remember downloading any critical updates on this computer recently.

I do have a Win XP computer networked with this one and tried to download
Win XP Service Pack 2 to it recently. Could that somehow have been routed to
my Windows 2000 Pro computer?

At step 4. of the Resolution, I type in the first command line (using D as my
CD-ROM Drive Letter) and press ENTER.

The Microsoft Expansion Utility tells me:
No destination specified for:
D:\i386\config.nt_c:\windows\system32\config.nt.

OK Dave, I figured out that I hadn't put a space between the underscore and
C:\.
After getting that typed in correctly, I had another glitch but had a hunch
that I needed to substitute WINNT for WINDOWS in the destination part of the
commands, and that worked. I can now run my program in full-screen mode.
You're a genius!

Now the cherry on top of the sundae would be if I could run my DOS program
in a window, which is how I normally used it before. That way I can have
other programs open and showing on the desktop at the same time. I'll try
figuring it out from Help, but if you have one of your magic "Articles" lying
around, I'd love to have that one too.

Thank you ever so much, Dave!

Figured that one out too. It's Alt + Enter, of course, that toggles it
between full-screen and a window.
Not only are you a genius, I am too!
Ain't life grand?!!

Seriously, thanks for doing this good work, Dave.

Glad to hear it's sorted. Thanks for the feedback.
