I'm running Windows XP PRO SP2. How does one change the the 'Font' when you
bridge up 'WordPad?" I've tried different fonts and sizes but it keeps
Arial, 10, Western" on activation. Thanks for the help...Lonnie...

You can't change the default font that is always used as WordPad doesn't
have a startup template that controls these types of settings.

One option is to create a new document with Wordpad. Place a single
space in the document, then select all and format the font as you want
it to be. Save the document on your desktop with a name such as "Launch
Wordpad". Now right click on the saved document and select Properties.
Mark the document as read-only. Whenever you want to launch wordpad,
double click the Launch Wordpad icon on your desktop. When you save,
you will need to "save as" the first time so that you don't overwrite
the file on your desktop with your new document. Having the Launch
Wordpad file set as read-only will force a prompt if you forget to use
"save as" and try to just save instead.

Not a perfect solution, I know, but maybe better than the way it works now.
