Word View Defaults

I hope someone can help me. When I open an attachment from email in Word. It
opens in a format I hate! It has numbered pages in a sort-of Acrobat type
style. How do I change this default?

You can turn off the Reading view (if that's what you are trying to
accomplish). In Word 2007, it's Office button | Word Options, Popular
category: Clear the "Open e-mail attachments in Full Screen Reading view."
In Word 2003, it's Tools | Options, General tab: Clear the "Allow starting
in Reading Layout" option.
