Word Template Forms

Hello.
I have developed a Word Template form using a table. I have added all the
required form fields (shaded text boxes), protected the document and it is
working fine. However, due to the fact that I have used a table as the basis
for design, when I am entering information and press TAB, it then tabs to the
next unprotected form field , but this is not necessarly the field I want to
tab to next. What I want it to do is follow a certain tab order, not how the
table is laid out? How can I amend the TAB order of the form fields? Any
guidance would be much appreciated!
