Word spell check integration.

Hi

Ive recently purchased a new PC. Great i thought.

I've put Outlook 2003 on. And also Office which includes Word.

My probelm is that I cant select Microsoft Word 2003 to read & edit my email
messages as my default mail editor (Options/Mail Format) thus not being able
to use the auto spell check etc. I can see the option but no matter whether
I select HTML, RTF or Normal it will not highlight to select.

I've spoken to a friend and he's said that it doesn't matter in which order
I installed the programmes.

HEEEEEEELLLLLPPPPPPPPPP. Its driving me crackers.

Thanks in advance.

Since Office includes both Word and Outlook, why would you not install them
both from the same CD? There would be no "order" then. Something doesn't
add up. Why would you have separate installations of Office and Outlook?

Hi Brian

I had originally Office 2000 which the main disc one of the four disc pack
was corrupt and then spoke to MS and they sent me out specific CD's a while
ago - one of which was Outlook 2003. I also got sent out Office XP
Professional (2002 version). (MS clearly wern't updating me to the latest
full software).

I'm as lost as you in all of this but while everything works fine the only
thing that doesn't seem to configure between both is the word as email
editor inc spell check.

Can you help please?

John

You said you had Word 2003, which comes with Office 2003. You don't mention
having an Office 2003 CD. Office 2002 comes with Word 2002, which can't be
used by Outlook 2003 as the editor.
