Word should have a dictionary.

If word had a dictionary it would save so much time. Besides what is any
office collection without a dictionary? A wise man once told me if you want
to do the job right, you have to have the right tools. My english teacher
also said we should learn to use big words to expand our vocabulary. I
remember the assignment like it were only yesterday. She wrote one-hundred
big words on the board and we had to choose twenty of them and learn there
meanings. Anyway, time is short so in closing I would like to ask, would it
not be great if we could use our word processors in a faster, more percise
way, while learning at the same time? It only makes since to me. My current
version word is microsoft office XP. Thank you for your time. Good-by.

Never mind the big words... you need help with little words like
"there" when you mean "their", "percise" when you mean "precise",
and "good-by" when you mean "goodbye". Baby steps first... Goodbye.

If you do not even have the latest version, how do you know that Microsoft
hasn't added a dictionary? As a matter of fact, Word 2003 has a Research
task pane that allows you to access dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other
reference sources.
