Word Page size

When i open up word from the desktop it doesn't maximise it on the screen and
when i press the maximise button it shows as maximised but only fills two
thirds of the screen, so there's still a gap at the top. The only way to get
it to fill the screen is to drag it into the corner and maximise it again.
This only happens now and again not all of the time - any ideas how to fix
it??

I believe this has to do with having Outlook open using Word as the email
editor.
