Word opens slow.

Please help. I have a computer running Windows XP Home and Microsoft Office
2003. Word and Excel opens very slow the first time that you try to open
either program. Once you open one or the other they both open very quick but
once you reboot the computer they open very slow again. I used Google to look
this up to start with and one of the reasons that I found said that the Macro
security by default is set to high and they recommend that you set it to
Medium. I did this but it didn't really make a difference. Is there anything
else that I can try?

Do you have Norton AV? - Uncheck its Office Plug-in Option.
