Greetings --
You've somehow managed to over-write Word's Normal.DOT template
with one of your own documents. Click Start > Search and do a search
for "Normal.dot." When you find the copy of the template that's
stored within your user profile, rename it to something like
"myfile.doc." The next time you open Word, a new template (that
stores your default margins and paragraph formats) will be created.
There are macro viruses that can cause this to happen. Do you
have a decent antivirus application installed, and do you keep its
definition files up-to-date?

When I open Word, there is already a letter typed on the page. I
have to delete each time before I can begin work. Its like a
template. Can anyone help? When I go to 'file', new and templates,
it shows up but won't let me delete. Message says can't delete
because its open. Can anyone help?
