Word Mail Merge Without Access?

If I have Word 2002 but do not have Access, can the Word
mail merge feature still be used since the data source
file is saved as an Access file?
 
Yes. That is only one of the file formats that Word can use as a data
source. It can also be a table in another Word document, an Excel
spreadsheet, a comma delimited file.
