word locking up??

Started a couple weeks back.

Have a HP 722c and when I try to print an already created .doc, Word locks
up and the top of the screen plus the icon in the task bar starts blinking.
The only way out is to Ctrl, Alt, Delete. New created Word .docs don't have
a problem printing, neither do other Office 2k programs.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled driver and ran Detect & Repair with no luck.

Just one "an already created doc"? Or all of them? If
one, it's file corruption that can be figured out
rather readiy.

If all, what's the possibility you picked up a macro
virus?

I think more details are needed to assess this with any
accuracy.

All the created .docs are doing this.
Some suggested my spooling may be the problem, (I've set control to print
directly to printer) and also the page size may be corrupted but here's two
more things I've noticed.
After I open a .doc and click on "page setup" the same thing happens.
If I copy the .doc it prints fine on a different system. Have two 722c, each
hooked up on different system.
