word it comes up with an envelope template - help to change!

when i open word it comes up with an envelope template instead of the normal
template. how can i change it?
 
If you mean that the default Blank Document is showing an envelope paper
size, try this: in a new blank document, without making any other changes,
go to File Page Setup and select the Paper tab. Choose Letter or A4 as
appropriate, then click Default... and answer yes.
