word hangs on exit!

Hi everyone;

I have a newly installed windows xp and installed office 2000 as well. I
also had to install a Notary Public program called "Simply Convey". I have
transfered all the documents relating to this program. now when I open an
existing word file in one of the folders, it hangs upon exiting and I have to
use task manager to shut it down. I have disabled the Norton options
regarding office products too but no use. I would really appreciate the help.

It may be that the addin for 'Simply Convey' is for a different Word version
and therefore in conflict - but see
