Word Forms: Prevent the "return, next line" in text box

I have created a form in word that works well with one exception: I can not
prevent the user from being able to hit enter in the from text box and adding
additonal lines to the form. How can prevent the enter key from adding lines?

Put the form field(s) in a table with the cell height and width set to an
exact size. It won't stop the user pressing enter but if enter is pressed
the extra text will simply 'disappear' which should provide a clue. Restrict
the number of characters that may be entered to the available space.
