If it's Word 2008 for Mac, yes. Or if in Word 2007 you 'save as'
to Word 97-2003 .doc format, then Word 98-2008 for Mac should be
able to open the .doc files. Of course, documents containing
Word 2007 features not supported by the older Word versions will
not convert correctly.
