word files that I have saved now say I have not got user priveleg.

I am unable to open files that I created in word and saved. I am told that I
do not have user privileges. I am the only user of my computer. I cannot
open, move or delete these files. Has anyone any suggestions. Thanks

this isn't really my area of expertise, but since you haven't gotten an
answer...

Perhaps there's a third-party software interfering? Do you have a document
manager, or maybe anti-virus software like Norton Antivirus running? If you
have, if you disable it then try opening a document does it work?

If this doesn't help, try asking in the word.setup.networking newsgroup, as
this may ring a bell with someone there. Be sure to mention the version of
Word.
