Word failing to open

Ok, here is my problem. I am using Office 2003. I have been having troubles
opening Word. It will open, however it takes roughly 10 minutes for it to
open. After it is open, I can't open a word document, I can only create a new
one. When I try to open a document, Word closes after trying to open the
document for so long. The document is a Word document. I have installed
Service Pack 3 for it already. I have tried uninstalling completely and
reinstalling. My Access, Excel, and Powerpoint programs still run fine. The
problem is with Word. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
