Word DOcuments in IE

Don't know if anyone has seen this but help is
appreciated. Any hyperlink to a word document results in
a Page Not Found error or a blank frame. The browser
starts the download of the document and then provides the
error. Yes, I can right click, save and then open with
Word but would like my in-place functionality back. I
checked all the obvious settings under IE, Folder Options,
etc. Powerpoint and Excel documents will open in place
just fine. Am I missing a registry edit somewhere?

Maybe not. In Folder Options, File Types
for Microsoft Word Document
make sure that Browse in same window is checked.
