Word Document Size

Does word have a maximum document size? A friend of mine is struggling to
open a file that isn't huge but is a fair size. Does word have a maximum file
size or is it a problem with his installation? He has a decent machine, 6
months old with 1gb of ram, so I don't think its his machine. Any help would
be recieved gratefully. Thanks.

The maximum size is 32mb of text plus graphics etc. This can make a very big
file.

Excellent, this file is no where near as large as that, so Is there any
common problems that would cause a smaller file with text and images not to
open?? Thanks.

Document corruption? Try the open and repair option in the file open dialog.
