word count

I am using the word count toolbar and would like to include endnotes in the
count. MS Word directions say:

If you want to include footnotes and endnotes in the count, select the
Include footnotes and endnotes check box

However, I don't see the check box on the toolbar (or anywhere for that
matter). Any suggestions? Thanks! Kim
