Word closes

We are on Win2000, Office 2000 SP3. A user opens 2 Word
documents and when she closes one, Word closes
completely. We have done a repair and reinstalled
Office. Any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks, Katherine

Note that re-installing Word rarely achieves anything useful as the causes
of the problems are invariably external to the program.
