Word as email editor

I notice lately that when i am writing an email with word as the editor it
very frequently tells me that word has a problem and need to shut down. I
have uninstalled and reinstalled and I have downloaded all the updates. What
can be wrong. Is it word or is it outlook. Thank you .
 
Do you have any details on the error? It may help in diagnosing the problem.
 
No i just get the standard 'word has encountered a prob. and has to shut
down. i send the error reply and nothing happens. i will look a little more
closely the next time to see if there are any specifics but i think not >
