Word as e-mail editor

Sean

I have a client who is unable to set Word as his e-mail
editor. Everytime he tries he gets the following error
when he tries to start a new message:

This form requires Word as your e-mail editor, but Word is
either busy or cannot be found. The form will be opened in
the Outlook editor instead.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Sean

Have you tried re-installating word? It seems like the transfer between Outlook and Word isn't working and should be fixed by just reloading Word or using "find and repair". Probably quicker fix than any other.

I am getting the same message. I think it is because I bought Outlook 2003, but did not go whole hog and get Office 2003. It will not register previous versions of Word as the editor, which I think is a real rip-off.

I get the same message; also "Interface not registered"
when I try to send an email w/Word as my editor. I'm
using Office XP Pro and have reinstalled and got all the
updates & patches, but that didn't help. I couldn't find
anything in the Microsoft KB. Don't know what else to
do. My OS is Win2000 Pro. Has to be something simple.

Thanks,
TWS
