Hoping someone knows how to change the color in word art. I'm always stuck
with whatever color the default is. Can someone tell me how to change the
color.

Thank you very much in advance.

Since you didn't say which version you are using, I will answer for Word
2003.

Insert your WordArt message. Click on the WordArt. Click on the Format
WordArt on the WordArt toolbar. If the icon doesn't show on the toolbar,
click on the little down arrow (Toolbar options) at the right of the WordArt
toolbar and revise as necessary.

After you insert the WordArt, click once on it to select it. Then you
can use the Fill button and/or the Line button on the Drawing toolbar,
or you can click the Format WordArt button on the WordArt toolbar and
use the Colors & Lines tab of the resulting dialog.

Thank you Jay & Chuck!

Now I did what you both said & yes I changed the color. But the one word
art I was working with had a shadow with it also. Now how do you change that
shadow. It was blue. I had changed what was in front to yellow so How would
I change the shadow to yellow.

Thank you both again.

While the WordArt is selected, click the Shadow Style button, the
seoncd one from the right on the Drawing toolbar. That pops up a
picture menu, and at the bottom are the words "Shadow Settings". Click
that and you get another toolbar. The button at the right end of the
Shadow Settings toolbar is for Shadow Color; click the down arrow next
to it to get the color-picker.

Jay - just now was able to see if anyone had replied. So good to see you
had. Thank you so very much - you answered my problem.

thanks again,
Harriet
