I try to open a doc and I have to sit for 2 minutes before
it opens. What's Happening.I use my computer for work and
this is not good. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have Norton AV there have been a number of reports re a recent AV
update, see Symantec site

I turned off norton av, rebooted,
still the same
uninstall norton av, rebooted,
still the same.

Now what?

You might want to run the Detect/Repair option in Word
Does this prob only occur with Word?

all files, both on the system, and over the network.
ie6, excel, word, notepad, all take more than 30 seconds
to open a file
