Word 97

We have a document management database that was created in Access 97. Word
documents are ole objects in the database. We use word 97 to create the
documents. The documents are saved in access through the use of macros. We
have the ability to open the document in a read only format.

I have purchased new printers. A dell and an hp. When we try to print a
document that is open in a read only format, the document closes and does not
print. The problem does not occur when the document is open in edit mode.

Any ideas?

Perhaps the documents contain information (fields) that should be updated and
isn't being allowed to? Check, perhaps, Tools/Options/Print whether updating of
fields is activated?

Cindy, Thanks for the reply. Unfortuanately that is not the problem now. I
have succeeded in printing the entire document in read only, but I cannot
print select pages. Any other ideas?
