Word 97 sent messages wrapping

Hi,
Win XP
I've reinstalled my old Word 97.
Whenever I do this there are always a number of items that take a while to
resolve.
I think this is may be the one that is always hardest to find:

The messages I send/receive now look like they are wrapping at 80 characters
or thereabouts.
I've checked the backedup and imported messages, and they don't, their
characters run to the other side of the scree, no wrap.

Somewhere there is a setting to overcome this, but I haven't found it yet -
it always takes me a while to figure it out.
It's not the Options - Internet e-mail tab, as that "wrap at 80" was not
checked. I tried switching it on and off to see if it made any difference.
(It wasn't checked before my reinstall).

Any help much appreciated..
 
It's a pity we can't edit these messages after posted.
After reading it I can tell I have a heavy cold and have been reinstalling....

The message related to MS Outlook - not Word
The message relates to both inbox and sent box etc - they all seem to wrap
at around 80 characters now

Any help appreciated - Thanks
