Word 2007

This is more then likely a stupid question but since I just got this program
in Feb. for classes I am taking (Office 2007 required) I need to solve it
asp. Any help would be appreciated.
My problem is that when I am using Word to prepare a document/class
assignment etc I can not get the program to go to a new page. Like if the
assignment is 3 pages long everything stops at the bottom of the first page.
When I first installed the program it did not do this. Since it started doing
this there is a blue box around the flashing start point that grows to fit
the document as you type. I have tried to get rid of the blue box with out
success. I'm ready to uninstall the program and reinstall it.
Any ideas, help. Please finals are in two weeks and I have several final
assignments to get done. Thank you.

Re-installing won't help. Renaming the normal template normal.dotm might -
