Word 2007 Taskbar

Is there a way to reduce the size of the tool/task bar on Word 2007? The
task bar is taking up to much room!! I spend more time scrolling when I am
working on a document. I love the new look but it is too big!!!
 
Are you referring to the ribbon? Note that you can minimize it, for example
by double-clicking one of the tabs.
