Word 2007 takes a long time to appear on screen.

If I click on MS Word 2007 to open it will take at least 30 minutes to load.
I leave the program open once it does come up but if I want to open a created
document, the virus scan will run for another 30 minutes before the document
loads. Please help.
 
If you use Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the Office Plugin
that comes with it (but don't disable Norton AutoProtect). See
