Word 2007 FILENAME field code - how to update automatically?

Hi - I use the FILENAME field code (with the option to "add path to filename"
checked) in the footer of my documents to keep track of where the document is
located. If I Save As a file to a new filename, the FILENAME field code
doesn't always automatically update (still shows the original document
name/path). I can manually update the field code (F9), but I am hoping there
is a way to automatically force an update on saving so it always shows the
correct path and name of the new document. Does anyone know how to do this?
