Word 2007 AutoSave Feature

I have two word 2007 documents open no separate monitors. Each time I
navigate to one of the documents, the auto save invokes. This happens even if
I don't make a change to either of the documents. Is there a way to make
autosave only save as I have in the Word settings-every 20 minutes?

There is no 'autosave' in Word. There's only the saving of recovery
information. Is it this that is saving? If so then it *may* be an indication
of corruption in the data key in the registry -

Rename the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data to
OldData with Word closed.

If that fixes it you can delete the old key. If not you can delete the new
key and rename the old one to recover the personalisations it contains.
